Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any preferred milk)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1  tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup  rolled oats
  • A pinch of salt
  • ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by adding the frozen bananas and almond milk to a blender.
  • Add the cocoa powder, natural peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, rolled oats, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  • If you prefer a thicker smoothie or want to make it colder, you can add a handful of ice cubes.
  • Blend all the ingredients on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  • Once the smoothie is well blended and has the right consistency and taste, pour it into glasses.
  • You can optionally garnish the smoothie with a sprinkle of cocoa powder, a banana slice, or a drizzle of peanut butter.
