Green Goddess Detox Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
- 1 handful of fresh spinach leaves, stems removed
- 1 small cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
- Juice of half a lime or lemon
- 1 tablespoon of honey or natural agave nectar (optional)
- 1/2 1/2 cup of cold water or coconut water
- Several ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients by peeling and slicing them to a size suitable for blending.
- Place the banana, kiwi, spinach, cucumber, ginger (if using), and lime or lemon juice in a blender.
- Add honey or agave nectar if you'd like to add a touch of sweetness to the smoothie.
- Pour in the cold water or coconut water.
- Add several ice cubes to chill the smoothie and create a desirable texture.
- Cover the blender and blend on high speed until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous texture.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness, lime/lemon juice, or ginger to your liking.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
