ripe banana

kiwi, peeled and sliced

handful of fresh spinach leaves, stems removed

small cucumber, peeled and sliced
1
small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
Juice of half a lime or lemon
1
tablespoon of honey or natural agave nectar (optional)

1/2 cup of cold water or coconut water
Several ice cubes
Instructions
Prepare all the ingredients by peeling and slicing them to a size suitable for blending.
Place the banana, kiwi, spinach, cucumber, ginger (if using), and lime or lemon juice in a blender.
Add honey or agave nectar if you'd like to add a touch of sweetness to the smoothie.
Pour in the cold water or coconut water.
Add several ice cubes to chill the smoothie and create a desirable texture.
Cover the blender and blend on high speed until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous texture.
Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness, lime/lemon juice, or ginger to your liking.
Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
